Woodwork was not possible in our old house, mainly because there was no room for even a small workshop. The new house we had built was a lot bigger and had an underneath area that I turned into a basic workshop. Once the woodworking bug hit I added machines as I needed plus a big dust extraction system (essential).
I still like box work, they are functional but allow for a lot of variation based on types of wood and just what I feel like doing. Some things are more difficult than others, the trickier the better (for me anyway). Now that I do a lot of woodturning and photography I don’t spend as much time doing box work as I used to, but that varies depending on how I feel.
